I used to joke that I was trying to convert the world to veganism one soup at a time, and while I would LOVE for that to work, snort, I have to be realistic. In the meantime, I continue to make my soups (the one to the right is a broccoli, carrot, tomato, and rice concoction) for myself and for anyone who'll eat 'em. I've even had a few "orders", which prompted me at one time to fantasize about selling my soups locally, but when I thought about the price I'd have to charge to cover ingredients, labour and time, it seemed unlikely that I would make any profit. Besides, no soup of mine is ever the same, so it would be hard to duplicate anything that was successful. Ah, never mind. I enjoy making them (is there anything like the smell and taste of homemade soup?), and chuckle whenever my mom says to others that they're so good you wouldn't even know they're vegan. :)
